More, and Less

What is one to do
When one has desires --
For conversation,
Or for communion,
For intimacy
Of understanding --
Yet the world spins by,
With no time to spare?
My wishes are more;
My portion is less.
Day by day by day,
I dwell in patience,
Ever hopefully,
Waiting to be heard.
