Herself was brushing up on logarithms this evening to help Offspring the Third with his math homework.  She had forgotten how much she enjoyed this particular type of math.

log_b a = x  is the same as a = b^x

log_b m + log_b n = log_b (m*n)

log_b m – log_b n = log_b (m/n)

log_b (mⁿ) = n*log_b (m)

Beautiful, rule-abiding math. You make us happy.
